Diana Rigg

I just finished reading an excellent interview in the Telegraph with Diana Rigg, who says the Avengers bores her, adding it was only a 2-year stint, and something she hardly wants to define her career. She is, like Vanessa Redgrave, a keen fly-fisher, as well. Quite a contrast to, say, Joan Collins, who seems to have nothing interesting to say, but has the redeeming quality of being camp personified. Also saw pics online of Vanessa Redgrave (somewhat camp in her own right), with daughter and granddaughter, at the Wimbledon luncheon, dressed herself like a 1930's tennis player (Bill Tilden?).

The second heat wave of the year has arrived. We had a minor one in early June, with temperatures of 30 or slightly more for a couple of days, but tomorrow promises to be a scorcher of 32 humid degrees. I despise the heat, almost as much as I do the cold.
